Larry Curry, an Oliver Wight principal, joined the company in 1984 and served on the board for Oliver Wight Americas for six years. He assists manufacturing management teams in gaining improved control of their businesses. In addition to teaching the Oliver Wight middle management courses and a variety of specialty courses, Larry currently consults with a wide range of clients including companies in the aerospace and defense industries.
With 19 years of experience in manufacturing, Larry was actively involved in the implementation of Class A MRP II at Hyster Company in Portland, Oregon. During his last six years there, he held management positions in capacity planning and several areas of material planning. He was also responsible for engineering change control and new product introduction.
Later, he served on the core team responsible for implementing MRP II at Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon. During that implementation, he also held positions of production planning manager and capacity planning manager.
An active member of APICS, Larry is a certified Fellow of the society, has developed and taught several certification courses for the organization, and has spoken to APICS audiences from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine.
