Hernan, an Oliver Wight business advisor, is an accomplished supply chain planning expert with many years of experience in both industry and in assisting clients with their process improvement projects. His area of expertise lies in Sales and Operations Planning, leading transitions into Integrated Business Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Strategy, Distribution Network Design, Inventory Strategy, CPFR and other value chain topics.

Most recently, he has been working with a leading food company, responsible for the integration of all the tactical and operational planning into the overall business strategy following the Oliver Wight model. Through his involvement they have been able to reduce working capital by 35 percent, decrease forecast error from 37 percent to 16 percent, increase production plan compliance from 89 percent to 96 percent, increase fill rate from 87% to 97% among other beneficial improvements.

In addition to his food company experience, he also has experience with a global cement company where S&OP implementations integrated multiple business units. Prior to that experience, he worked with several companies on their Sales and Operations Planning process implementation and improvements projects in a variety of industries including Food and Beverage, Retail, Automotive Parts Manufacturing among others.

Hernan has a Bachelor in Economics, a minor in International Business, and a Global MBA and has attended other seminars in S&OP, Value Chain, and Leadership.
