Andrea Montecchi, an Oliver Wight business advisor and managing principal, is an accomplished operations executive and has extensive international experience in strategy development and global supply chain management. He has a sound understanding of cross-cultural influences in business relationships and excels at managing teams that deliver sustained growth and performance improvement in highly competitive industries. Prior to joining Oliver Wight, he worked with companies to attain their full growth potential through strategic planning and deployment, S&OP/Integrated Business Planning, and leadership development.

Andrea is a demonstrated leader of significant process development and change management with 12 years in senior- and director-level positions in the manufacturing industry following 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. While with a global computer manufacturer, Andrea was responsible for developing and implementing their global supply chain strategy within two divisions supporting $9B in revenue; developing a new organizational structure, and employing centralized planning and procurement optimizing limited global inventories totaling $160MM COGS. He was then hired by a medical device manufacturer as Director, Business Planning & Transformation, where he established a center of excellence in business planning/forecasting and operations execution enabling superior customer experience and maximizing financial results. That was followed by a year with a global food company where he led enterprise transformation, growing revenue and profit for the first time in five years improving more than three-fold from the prior year.

Andrea has his MBA from University of Texas, Austin, and his BS in technology from University of Houston. He is fluent in English and Italian and holds dual citizenship. He also speaks Japanese and has a good grasp of French and Spanish. Andrea is an FAA pilot with his commercial and instrument rating.
