Peter Alle, a business advisor with Oliver Wight, has extensive experience as a supply chain leader. His passion is to build corporate planning and execution capability with a focus on Integrated Business Planning. His most recent assignment prior to joining Oliver Wight was VP Supply Chain for a midwest dairy. Also prior to joining Oliver Wight, Peter led business transformation improvement initiatives including the global implementation of Integrated Business Planning for a multi-national consumer goods/food business. In order to strengthen and complement the foundational elements required for successful integrated business planning, he also led improvements in demand planning, long-term supply and capacity planning, manufacturing, and distribution operations.
With 30 plus years of experience in fast moving consumer goods, Peter has consistently been in leadership roles delivering process improvement and operational excellence. He has been both an operations and strategy leader; leading manufacturing, distribution and transportation, establishing strategic supplier alliances, and developing supply chain strategy.
In his role as Director of Supply Chain Strategy, he was responsible for developing customer-facing strategy for his company’s supply chain as well as establishing customer initiatives across North America. These initiatives across North America included demand signal sharing for rapid store-level replenishment. That was followed by a position as Senior Director, Global Center of Excellence for Customer Service and Logistics, responsible for customer service improvement, cash flow improvement, and product portfolio optimization. Upon the spin-off into two companies of this global company, Peter had global responsibility for implementation of Integrated Business Planning, SAP Demand and Supply Planning and co-led, with procurement, distribution and transportation improvements that led to substantial savings.
Peter’s recent clients include companies representing a broad cross-section of businesses, including fast-moving consumer goods, consumer electronics, technology, custom manufacturing, and a large government enterprise.
Peter earned his BS in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MS in Civil Engineering from Princeton University. He became an Oliver Wight “certified instructor” and has spoken, lectured, or been a panelist at many conferences as well as college and university business school programs.
