Peter Alle, a principal with Oliver Wight, has extensive experience as a supply chain leader. His passion is to build corporate planning and execution capability with a focus on Integrated Business Planning. Prior to joining Oliver Wight, Peter led business transformation improvement initiatives including the global implementation of Integrated Business Planning for a multi-national consumer goods/food business. In order to strengthen and complement the foundational elements required for successful integrated business planning, he also led improvements in demand planning, long term supply and capacity planning, manufacturing and distribution operations.
With a 33-year background in the manufacturing/food process industry, Peter has always been a key leader in process improvement and operational excellence. He has been both an operations and strategy leader; leading manufacturing, distribution and transportation, establishing strategic supplier alliances and developing supply chain strategy. In his role as Director of Supply Chain Strategy, he was responsible for developing customer-facing strategy for his company’s supply chain as well as establishing customer initiatives across North America. These initiatives across North America included demand signal sharing for rapid replenishment and store-ready pallets. That was followed by a position as Senior Director, Global Center of Excellence for Customer Service and Logistics, responsible for customer service improvement, cash flow improvement, and product portfolio optimization. Upon the spin-off into two companies of this global company, Peter had global responsibility for implementation of Integrated Business Planning, SAP Demand and Supply Planning and co-led, with procurement, distribution and transportation improvements that led to substantial savings.
Peter earned his BS in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MS in Civil Engineering from Princeton University. He became an Oliver Wight “certified instructor” and has spoken, lectured, or been a panelist at many conferences as well as college and university business school programs.
