Leon Dixon, an Oliver Wight Principal, is a consultant, coach, and educator providing companies with guidance on the design and implementation of integrated business processes and systems.
During his 34 year career, Leon implemented business planning processes and software while serving in positions including Business Group Logistics Director, Director of Education Services, Senior Solution Manager, and Supply Chain Manager, as well as several roles in the software industry.
Leon began his career as a sales engineer, improving business processes and technologies in shop floor manufacturing using industrial gases and gas technology. He swiftly moved to marketing, product management and supply chain leadership roles with BASF. He then served as a supply chain consultant, and held international solution ownership and software implementation roles for SAP’s supply chain planning and inventory optimization software. He is a noted supply chain planning speaker at industry meetings and educational events.
In addition to BASF and SAP, Leon worked for and with Albemarle, Otterbox, Dow, Valspar, General Mills, and others.
Leon earned his engineering degree from Michigan State and MBA from Keller School of Management. He also earned his Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS.
