Robert Howard, an Oliver Wight principal since 2006, has compiled over 35 years of experience as a consultant and practitioner. He has worked with both process and discrete manufacturers. He has global experience educating and coaching clients on the path to Business Excellence across a multitude of industries. Among his client companies are DuPont, Celanese, Huntsman, Kraft Foods, Covidien Pharmaceutical, Stryker, Affinia, and others. He has expert change management skills and is able to coach organizational and business process change both vertically and horizontally.
Prior to joining Oliver Wight, he spent 28 years in industry with Monsanto, Solutia, and Sensient Technologies. He has extensive plant and corporate leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and SAP integration roles.
While he was global director of supply chain optimization at Solutia, he led a cross-functional team of internal consultants to implement Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Integrated Planning and Control (IPC) in an SAP enabled environment. Two global businesses were rewarded by the achievement of Class A.
In addition, he is an expert in the implementation and functional application of Oliver Wight’s Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool (ESOPT), a software information management tool to support IBP implementations.
Bob has been invited to speak at several conferences and is a member of AICHE and APICS. He earned his BS in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
