ESOPT New Release: Version 6.2
The Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool is a software program which supports companies with the implementation of Sales and Operations Planning Best Practices. This proprietary tool provides the critical link between operational systems (ERP, master scheduling, inventory management) and top-level planning. Utilized in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, aerospace, telecommunications, chemical, electronics, and industrial equipment, ESOPT has had such a successful impact, we have further improved its capabilities.
New features in ESOPT version 6.2:
Five-year planning horizon – option to base license
Five plus thirty-year planning horizon – option to base license
Enhancements to current features:
In the 5 year version: the ability to toggle between monthly and quarterly charts
In the 30 year version: the ability to toggle between monthly, quarterly, and annual charts
Supply Review – The inventory target screen will display the -1 to -3 on the chart and allow scrolling for history grid, including cost figure. The ability to define the starting month of a Subfamily for calculating dependent demand. This allows the user to specify the dependant demand for a specified period and have the remaining months calculated.
In Demand/Supply aggregations, there is an additional criteria box for a total of three levels of aggregation.
New features:
The ability to capture and view Demand Probability – For each Subfamily the user can define the demand probability by month, with an option to display Demand charts segmented by probability (including Firm Orders and 100% probability) for any level of aggregation. The loads on critical resources can be segmented by Demand Probability in the Resource Plan charts.
The ability to define Subfamilies by up to nine user-defined types of demand (such as: retail, wholesale, OEM, etc.) with the option to display Demand charts segmented by Demand Type for any level of aggregation.
The ability to segment Subfamilies by Inventory Type – define Inventory by Types (examples: Commodity, Custom, Retail, Wholesale, etc.) with the option to display charts that segment Inventory levels by Inventory Types for any level of aggregation. Any loads on critical resources from inventory can be segmented by Inventory Types in the Resource Plan charts.
The ability to capture and view Inventory Stocking Type by Subfamily – the ability to define Safety Stock versus Strategic Inventory by period at the Subfamily level with the option to display charts that segment Inventory levels between Safety Stock and Strategic Inventory for any level of aggregation. Any loads on critical resources from inventory can be segmented by Inventory Stocking Types in the Resource Plan charts.
An option to include an additional (second) detail cost element for Subfamilies. The additional Cost displays on: Detail cost chart, Forward Financial View chart where a cost buildup is displayed, and in charts and grids of the Supply Review Costs tab.
The option to include and view monthly Unconstrained Demand for each Subfamily.
The option to toggle between Resource Comments and the grid of values at the bottom of the Resource charts.
The ability to capture and identify both Assumptions and Occurrences in the Comments tabs.
Thirty-Year Version – When rolling the month – convert year 6 plan by quarters to monthly buckets in year 5.
