Business Workshops

The goal of an Oliver Wight workshop is to apply conceptual education techniques to a specific operation or business objective as a hands-on event. They are designed to produce immediate results. Minimal time is spent on lectures or written materials. Participants instead apply what they have learned and experience how the concepts affect the company, the processes, and their jobs.

The first couple of hours are spent on conceptual learning of the topic. The balance of the session is spent with the team facilitating an action plan to accomplish process improvement. This includes problem-solving, process design, and action plan development. Participants leave a workshop with a detailed action plan to make change happen.

Workshops are most effective with smaller task groups – typically no more than 8 to 10 people. Ideally, workshop participants previously have attended a public or private course. The more experienced the participants are with the area under review, the faster the results can be achieved. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to the following:

  Bills of Material
  Class A Assessment Strategy
  Correcting an Overloaded Master Schedule
